Emulsifying ointment

I’ve been having problems with the skin on my neck and shoulders. I seem to get a patch of flaky skin which I scratch. It then bleeds, scabs over and takes ages to heal and usually leaves a scar. I used to have lovely skin so it’s quite upsetting. I’d like to see my doctor but it’s so difficult to get an appointment. I’ve been seeing adverts for hydromol and wondered if it would help. I know it’s an age thing but it’s really getting me down.

Hydromol is great - my mum used it for very dry skin when she was in her 90s. I remember taking her to the hospital for an appointment, and they asked her about her medication. She told them that she was applying her prescribed 'Cuprinol' - a wood preservative! The doctor thought it was hilarious, and that it had preserved her very well - Warning: don't try this yourself!!

Try castor oil rubbed in mixed with almond oil for your psoriasis. it feels sticky but should sink in after an hour or so....
say half and half you can use neat castor oil but it might prove too sticky. Calendula essential oil 3 drops in tablespoon of almond oil will help ease it as well....if you are wary try it on a small patch to start with to see results. My mum actually made some calendula infused oil by chopping up marigolds just the orange flowers not the stems and soaking in a jar of olive oil for 2 weeks on the window sill, you could use this straight on your skin then. English marigolds not french or african Calendula Officinalis.

I use Boots' Daily Moisturising Cream, if I can't find Aqueous Cream. Even better, if you can get Emulsifying Ointement, use that and decant some into another pot, add warm warter and mix thoroughly - it is now the same as AQ

yes, Hydromol ointment cured a bout of psoriasis and always use it now.

It is better than products such as Aqueous Cream.

Yes Hydromol is an emulsifying ointment. My grandsons have a scaly skin condition and use it as soap. You don't need to buy anything else.

I don't know Hydromel but an emulsifying ointment can be used instead of soap for hand washing or for bathing for example.
Does it do that?
