Sounds lovely hvdy.
I braved Tesco this morning since I now have 4 coming for Christmas dinner.
The car park was frantic but the shop wasn’t too bad. Plenty checkouts open. Couldn’t get frozen stuff as I was going to see a friend but can get it in my local Morrisons tomorrow when I take a friend shopping.
Next job is to marzipan and ice Christmas cake for dh. I don’t like it much.
Derby you will soon get to know us.

Derby How's your day been?

It was good at the centre today - salmon, new potatoes and veg, the home-made rice pudding. Daft games, and then a "tuneless choir" entertained us. Hope everyone is ok today x

You all know each other so well and what’s going on in each other’s lives and so can offer support. I can’t take it in enough to post to you individually but collectively I wish you well.

Nadateturbe It's exhausting when someone seems to talk non stop -an hr's a long time to feign interest. Sounds like you've a busy week.Dont burn yourself out.
HVDY You've had a busy day too. It's lovely how you and baby GD are having time together to bond. You will love her so much. Glad your DH is getting the ADs sorted. I seem to have had a right going on with mine. Enjoy your glass of wine and your quiet night .
Doodle I'm so sorry your DH is still in so much pain. I do hope the patches will help.I'm sure they will be much better not going via the stomach like tablets at least. Do his ankles look any better? We are having quiet Christmas too. I'm sure after the year you've had you will both need it. Nice you can see son n fam Boxing Day.

Bowel pain bad last night and was sick. Up most of night. This morning seemed better and we had wander and coffee . Bladder pain back with vengeance and felt like severe infection so rushed back home. Test strip neg. Such cramps and couldn't eat anything. Bladder pain worse when bowel opened and vice versa as if all nerves set each other off.
At pain management appt Dr said lots of nerves in pelvic area--yes I know. She didn't say v much at all really. DH said we should have asked more questions but how and what without putting them on the spot? The elephant in the room is the procedure that was botched. Waited so long for pain management and feels now like it was just another triage and I'll be waiting again. For what I'm not sure.
Still no letter to me or GP from her but realise it can take time.

Completely different thing but I'm concerned about someone who used to teach a college class and we became phone friends because of MH difficulties. Not been in touch too much this last Yr (I have been unable) but spoken tonight and I'm worried about her-somethings not right. Could I ask those who can , to pray she gets help .sorry its vague.

EllieAnne I remember now about your visit to your daughter. Goodness, that is so bad. Can you maybe complain to the practice manager. Just not good enough.
I understand now. It must be annoying being second choice, but I would just enjoy it. It must be a relief that you're not alone with your husband. God works in mysterious ways. 😊.

HVDY hope your husband gets better ADs. I just found out both sisters are on citalopram and they work well, and no problems at the beginning.

HVDY Gosh you're such an energetic family! I'm sure you had a lovely time with baby, although tired now I'm sure. Good thinking about cats!

Doodle The GP appointment was made by the GP 3 weeks ago. My husband's going to ask for a different AD, so we'll see how that goes. I'm glad your husband has got some serious pain relief now, and I hope he gets on well with the patches. Foxy will have cheese, eggs and pork belly tonight (hopefully he'll like that. The cats won't ).

It's been a long (but good) day. Had Baby Girl for a mammoth 12 hours, 7.30 - 7.30. She was good as gold, as usual. DH and I met Son1's ex from 15 years ago, and her son. Had a pub lunch, went to a craft fair. DH is out with Son1 and a couple of mates, for a pint (DH is driving so he'll only have one). I'm going to have a glass of wine and watch tv now. Hope ALL BDers have a relaxing evening x

nadateturbe no DH and I will be on our own Christmas Day although the family popping over for quick visit Boxing Day.
HVDY hope your DH gets some meds he can cope with. Good he’s got an appointment before Christmas.
DH saw the DN this morning and has now been given morphine patches for the pain. Too soon to say if they will help.

Nadateturbe my d in l invited her parents but for some reason they are not going so son and family are coming to us. I’m pleased because otherwise we would have been on our own and it would have been awful. That’s why we are second best.
I had the ecg etc because I had a strange turn when visiting my dd and am trying to find out the cause but so far have not managed to see a dr only a nurse.

SweetpeaSue So sorry you've been having all that pain again. Has anything (food/drink) changed? I hope tomorrow will be better for you.

Doodle Glad your blood test was ok. Thanks, I like my nails a bit longer usually, but it was nice to get them done. Hope you and your husband have a decent rest tonight.

nadateturbe Thanks. My fingers are plump . My husband is feeling a bit more cheerful, but he stopped taking the Sertraline 2 nights ago, they were making him feel so dizzy and nauseous. He's seeing the GP anyway on Thursday. I've told him to ask for Mirtazapine (which I take and haven't had any problems with) or Citalopram. I know what you mean about a busy week, mine is the same this week. Nice for you to see your siblings, too.

Hope ALL BDers have a restful night. The fox didn't get a lot to eat last night - TWO greedy cats scoffed all 5 chicken portions, but he did get some black pudding! Got Chubby Chops all day tomorrow x

I'm feeling better today. Although I visited my SiL with my husband today and she talked (very fast) nonstop for an hour, At which point I said I had to go and finish some shopping. I thought I might scream if I didn't leave. I'm feeling better and I want it to stay that way.
That is not conversation. Why do some people do that? I find listening exhausting.

Busy week yes! I've had to tell my art group I can't make our Christmas lunch at the local golf club tomorrow. Was so looking forward to it. But have to meet siblings, which is more important. And four other visits to do. I really need another week before Christmas. Husband is already asleep!

Scaredycat That was frightening. You must need to be so careful. But it's still so easy to have an accident. I actually bought signs saying Mind your Head to stick on the kitchen cupboards to remind my husband.
At least you got checked out well in A&E. Our doctors and nurses are so caring. What a day! I'm sure you're shattered.
Ah your poor friend, it must be hard to know what to say to her. I think the main thing is listening. It must be very sad for you too.

Derby it would be good for you to have some contact with others who know what you’re going through. Are there any local groups you could contact.

Nadateturbe I too feel Christmas is coming way too fast. All the problems with my DH I just can’t believe it’s next week now.
Yes managed to get to blood test on time. It’s hard to get going in the morning these days with having to keep an eye on DH all the time to make sure he’s ok.
Whiff I think you’re right. There has to be light as well as dark. We’ve all had hard times, some worse than others but if we can show there are good times too it does give Hope.
Your wood pigeon story made me laugh. I was watching a similar courtship in the tree the other side of the river. One bird tentatively hopping closer and closer to the other and the other bird moving further and further along the branch until she just flew to a lower branch where the whole performance started again.
Oh Scaredycat what a shock. How awful for you. 6 hours is a long wait but I’m glad you got checked out ok. Hope it’s not hurting too much.
HVDY yes did manage the blood test and had a message back from GP saying results are fine.

If you are still worried after your blood test results, ask to see a GP and tell them your concerns.
