I have a horrible side effect from the Pfizer booster which i had 18 months ago. I will not be having another one.
Hives and angiodoema which I can't get rid of even with 6 antihistamine tablets daily.

I'm always unwell after Covid jabs. Which is why l put my booster off until after l had various tests. Wish l hadn't as now l have Covid.

No problems for either of us after Covid and flu jabs on successive days.

I had the Covid and flu vaccines two weeks ago and felt fine apart from a sore arm and some tiredness the day after.

After ten days I started to feel like I was coming down with something- really achy on and off. Felt really achy to the extent of it waking me up quite a lot last night despite taking paracetamol.

I now have an upset stomach.

Never had any problems with previous vaccines. It could be some other virus causing these symptoms, of course.

I had Pfizer previously and was pretty ill after it. I also had a Moderna and it was exactly the same.

I think I'm just going to expect I will be not very good for a few days - but if it's fine then that's a bonus.

I think the fact that flu and covid vaccinations are given in the autumn means they coincide with viruses that abound at this time of year. A lot of infections start the rounds as soon as children go back to school for the autumn term.

Yes downnotout - I swear I haven’t felt right since my Pfizer Covid Jab - right now, I have an ear infection, which shows no sign of abating despite a course of strong antibiotics. I don’t think I’ve ever had an ear-infection before this.

Me too crazyH! I have sore ears too and have not had an ear infection since I was a child. Maybe linked but as others have pointed out maybe just caught a bug over the last week. We'll never know! hmm

I have never had a reaction before, but had an upset tummy the same night and felt shivery the next day, sleeping all afternoon. The following day I was fine. However, I have had many short flare-ups of my Rheumatoid Arthritis since, making me wonder whether it has b***ered up my immune system. They are now becoming fewer thank goodness.

My husband had the new Pfizer one - then just available for 3 days - about ten days back, along with his flu jab. He’s absolutely fine.

I had one still badged Pfizer the same day, and I’m absolutely fine too.

When I had my Covid jab the other week it was just call Pfizer.

I had both on Saturday - arms still sore but otherwise OK so far.

There is a lot of covid in the village and I have managed to avoid it so far, so was very keen to get my jab. I am sorry that you are feeling rough downnotout.

I had flu jab and Covid jab 3 days apart. Very sore arm from the flu and felt awful for 24 hours. Covid jab absolutely fine no sore arm no symptoms so I would say it’s the flu jab which is the culprit here just like me. Or you could have coincidentally picked up a virus, lots going round

Jaxjacky Mon 16-Oct-23 13:49:38

No reaction from either of us, there are however lots of other cold bugs around.

SueDonim Mon 16-Oct-23 13:46:15

You could have caught a cold or flu or another viral infection in that time. Hope you feel better soon.

I expect there is another thread about this but I can't find it. I believe the Pfizer jab is now called BioNtech(?) which I had a week ago on 9 October as well as flu jab. I was fine except for sore arms as expected. Now a week later I feel rubbish. Not severe, but fatigue, sore head, sore throat. Has anyone else had a delayed reaction to this?
