I wrote about my painful knee a couple of weeks ago.. It wasn't getting any better. Saw an orthopaedic surgeon on Wednesday and been diagnosed with the above. He's arranged a CT scan just to check there is nothing under the fracture but he seems quite confident its as straight forward as these things can be.
Just coming to the end of three weeks. Obviously not driving and taking the weight off the leg as much as I can. Have a few exercises to do because the muscles can become week. Also wearing a leg brace when standing.
The worst part is when I get out of bed. Really have to hobble to the bathroom for at least 12 steps before I feel the leg can take my weight. Same thing happens when using my computer and go to get up. Feels really stiff.Using ice and resting with leg up during the day. I have a collection of sticks but can't seem to get on with crutches.
Has anyone been through this and can they give me their story, how they got through it and came out the other side, how they're doing now. It would be such a boost to hear other peoples take on it.
Taking paracetamol and Ibuprofen.
