Sweet pea sue I’m sorry that you are feeling so bad. Why does it seem worse to feel ill at this time of year?
And wyllow I’m thinking of you and hoping you are getting some help.
Feel as if I’ve done nothing but cook and clear up . Dh has helped with the dishes. Too many for the dishwasher. Was good to see family but tiring .and gs who is three played up a bit.had a bit too much Prosecco because it was there and would have gone flat!

Sorry friends but here again.
Yesterday aft bowel pains terrible. Managed sleep last night after 2 ports , whisky and painkillers.Pain back this morning and been in invalid mode on setteewith hot water bottle and painkillers. Pain eased but switching from comatose black depression and extreme agitation.
How is it when it's so easy to 'count blessings' as I did yesterday after walk but so hard when pain and huge Blackdog visits?
I don't think I'll ever be free from pain .
I'm not brave at all and feel resentful and angry at my condition.
Doodle You must feel so truly helpless to see your DH with his pain. I'm so sorry. I admire your courage and that of your DH. Hoping you have a peaceful day today.

Hi all.
It was a lovely day yesterday with my DD and SiL and youngest daughter. Quieter than usual as her other daughters have their own families and we can’t all fit in . Many FT and calls as my Step children and Son are far away. We are very lucky and love them all dearly. I miss my youngest Son every day but especially at Xmas - he loved it and would have been a lovely Dad .

nadateturbe I can understand anyone not wanting carers. To a lot of people, it's difficult to admit they might need help (I saw that a lot in my 20-odd years of community care work)

Brother rang an hour ago - he'd gone to the care home, to have lunch there with his wife, but the place is closed to visitors due to Norovirus. (they had 5 residents ill on Saturday but the numbers are higher now). He's alone today. I told him to come here, but he said no. . Hope ALL BDers are having a good day x

HVDY my brother won't entertainthe idea of a carer.. Very stubborn person. But we love him, and its hard for him being the way he is.

My brother died today 12 years ago very suddenly age 52, so there's always a bit of sadness, just like you Hymnbook and many others. But we have good memories.
I hope you and your husband managed to get some sleep Doodle.

Today it is 40 years since my dear dad died. It seems like only yesterday.
I'm invited to my nieces today so l won't be on my own. Her little boy will keep us all amused😀
No cards from my son and his family. I wish l knew how to mend the rift between us.I

I will be with my daughter and family and my son in laws parents I get on very well with them. I am glad my daughter has good in laws.

Just imagining my other 3 grandson's up already and excited. But it doesn't make me sad but happy they are in the world.

I made a pact with myself after my husband died never to be sad Christmas day as it was his favourite time of the year. I shed a few tears yesterday as usual as I allow myself that.
