I tried every single chemist in my area, The large and the small independents .No Ovestin, and most said they had no idea when they would get more. Our excellent GP just changed my prescription , with no fuss.

Have you tried alternative chemist? Some use different suppliers. However if try the large multiple they use same ones. I would try the smaller independent ones. Good luck

I have a new prescription for Blissel. A gel, not a cream, otherwise the same as Ovestin . Sighs with relief

Ditto my pain patches and Ozempic for type 2 diabetes! I believe some of the shortages and issues with are meds, and it’s not the only issue, are due to Brexit

Yes my pharmacy can't get it from their suppliers. I think there is a generic version available instead. I have left a request at the surgery so fingers crossed.

This was not available from the pharmacist when I collected my usual prescription. Not too worried as I have some back up supplies at home. I had some post meno bleeding about five years ago, had a Mirena coil inserted and when I went back to have it removed the gynae suggested I use Ovestin twice a week for three months, then have a break for three months and so on. Three months is up in a couple of weeks so should be OK until then. Hope you find an alternative. I've definitely heard of new ones that people are using. I first started it years ago and think it was the only thing available at the time.

I use it. Still getting it on prescription from the GP.

Just been trawling all the near pharmacies. No Ovestin available. My GP surgery is dispensing a new prescription for me for a similar product. Been a bit stressful.

I was put on this by urogynaecologists at the hospital. I’m now told it is unavailable. Anyone know of the alternative. Cannot get through to gp
