I'm caught on the horns of a dilemma and maybe a wise GN person can help.
I have nerves trapped in my spine, which gives me almost constant lower backache and weird sensations in my legs. My legs are also much weaker than they used to be.
The pain clinic have offered a TENS machine or a steroid injection, which apparently doesn't always work.
A friend has gone to an osteopath for upper back pain and says their pain has been greatly relieved, although they have to go back every three months or so for more treatment.
I've been told horror stories of osteopaths not helping, or in some cases making the situation worse.
I'm torn and can't figure out which treatment to go for. I still have the option of going back to the pain clinic if I wish.
Anybody out there used osteopathy for this problem and how did it work out? I'm sick and tired of being in constant discomfort, unable to do heavy housework or gardening. Even climbing a flight of stairs is an effort, with my legs feeling like jelly by the time I get to the top.
Advice would be gratefully received.
Thank you.
