lumps in my neck

I'm glad you have a doctor's appointment Franbern. Lymph nodes can swell for all sorts of reasons. I have used inhalers for a very long time and do have a croaky voice. It's always best to have a check up.

I know we're not meant to diagnose medical problems on Gransnet, but since you're seeing GP next week, suggestions can't do any harm! One possibility is thyroid nodules. These are very common and mostly harmless, but need to be checked out.

I have two such lumps. Felt them a few months back, and they have grown slightly since then. Have finally made an appointment to see a GP next Monday. I often get a very croaky voice, and have assumed that this is down to the Asthma inhalers I use, but am now thinking they could be connected as these lumps (one each side), are quite close to where the larynx is.
I do not feel ill or have any infection, so why should my lymph nodes be so swollen?
