Covid jabs: Have you had yours?

So is it now a jab every six months? I thought that it was supposed to be just annually.

I had mine on Monday last week. It was administered by a doctor and I came to the conclusion that - by and large - nurses do it better. As usual, I had no reaction except that the site of the injection was red and itchy for a few days. I could lie on it without any pain.

I’ve not heard anything about Covid jabs in Wales.

Yes Moderna yesterday. Arm is very sore and feel a bit achey. Am tired too but sleep broken by thunder storms , so it could be that.

Yes moderna last Saturday.had headache for a few days and that's about it.always had the Pfizer before

Haven’t heard anything from my Surgery as yet. I’ve only ever had 3, but thankfully, I’m not a high risk.

Update- I felt fine after 36 hours, though my arm is still a bit sore.

I had mine on Monday late afternoon, the next day my arm was sore but by the evening I felt very tired. I'm still not right, headache and extremely tired. I've not had a reaction before but hopefully by tomorrow I'll be feeling better!

Yes we have. No problems.

I had Moderna last week, the last time was the first injection so long ago now. No side effects but my age was queried, not being I am 80, so marginally over 75.

I do not want to carry my passport with me!!!

I only had the first two vaccines because I collapsed with anaphylaxis after the 2nd one. I have had covid twice without any serious problems luckily.

Has anyone else had Moderna vaccine?

I only had the first two, and then only because they were making noises about not letting you in places.

My OH had his latest one yesterday, sore arm after and still uncomfortable today. He takes up all stabbing offers.

Yes,I have.I had a headache and aching shoulder muscles on the night of my vaccination but they could have occurred anyway so may not have been due to the vac.

Sore painful arm. Don’t feel 100% . A bit weak and don’t feel like doing anything.

I had mine yesterday morning and felt fine but by 10pm my arm was extremely sore and heavy and I felt exhausted and couldn’t manage the effort of having a bath. No better today despite a good night’s sleep. I have no energy and feel chilly although the weather is mild. Hopefully it will soon pass. I have had no problems before, other than a bit of soreness.

. My neighbour had hers on Friday and hasn’t been well since, though getting better now, and wondered if it was because she had Moderna for the first time. I am going to the same pharmacy tomorrow so am keeping my fingers crossed as I havnt had Moderna before either.

\Had mine eight days ago. Lump om arm and sore for two or three days, tiredness for 36 hours. All long gone now and forgotten.

I have had the same reaction as Sarnia. And I will have the next one when it is offered.

Having had so many injections over the past few years I've become aware of the effects of technique on the outcome. Sometimes I've felt every millimetre of the needle going in and the area felt sore for a while afterwards. At other times I've been lucky enough to have a real expert give the injection and barely been aware of anything happening at all. The skill of the injector makes a big difference in my experience.

I had yet another Covid booster last Saturday and as usually happens, I had a reaction to it. A couple of days with aches, chills, sore throat, headache, sore arm and feeling very tired. My family wonder why I continue with the jabs but I have a much younger friend who has suffered with Long Covid for well over a year and I do not want to risk enduring that. The US have recently released findings from a research study into reactions from Covid vaccines and they found that in people who have a reaction it is because their system is building up extra antibodies. In answer to your question. Yes, I do agree there are benefits from being over 75 and long may that continue.

I had my booster on Monday (about eighth I reckon as I have auto immune issues). My arm is painful when I lie on it in bed but getting better. I was warned that I could feel tiredness too but that seems fine.
