Thats good to know.
Please do go, though, if they come back.

Thank you all for your helpful advice. To my great relief, the last few nights have been free of any sweating, and I dearly hope that this will continue.

Yes check out with your GP. Maybe write down how many times a night they wake you. How fierce they are. Drenching? Bedclothes wet? Or just your face and a bit warm.
I have taken off winter bedding as the nights are so much warmer and I was waking a bit toasty.
Any other symptoms? Difficult to know if you have weight loss if Mirtazapine is making you gain weight. Do check out with your GP if it continues. Or ring 111 and ask them as GP appts are like gold dust.

Mirtazapine is known to cause excess sweating so it could be that. Might pay to see your GP.

I also think that you need a check up with your GP .
Anxiety and certain meds can cause night sweats .
I found that my bedding was too warm !

It could well be your medication but do get along to the GP asap and get it sorted out

Please, please if you are having drenching night sweats see your doctor ASAP.

Same advice as MissA - have a word with your GP surgery.

Night sweats do need to be checked out by your gp, as it can be a symptom of other issues.

I agree with karmalady. I sweat at night too but it doesn't bother me too much. You don't need natural remedies for something that is a natural process. I don't know about the relationship with the drugs though, maybe speak to your GP to find something more suitable for you? Hope you are feeling better soon.

sweating is the body getting rid of toxins. If you are worried then see someone at your surgery or pharmacy

After a viral infection I have experienced night sweats every night for the past five weeks. I am 75.
Is there a natural remedy to prevent sweating?
I am taking 30mg Mirtazapine for depression, but weight gain and no obvious improvement in mood are making me wonder if it is worth continuing. Could this be implicated in my night sweats?
I would be grateful for any advice.
