Meant to say pessary not pessaro. Blooming autocorrect. I am not a painting!

I have been having terrible bladder problems with repeated utis, numerous antibiotics and acute pain when bladder is full (sorry tmi!). I had urodynamic studies and have a temporary Pissarro fitted. I say temporary as I have been offered a repair. Waiting list six months!

My question is, does anyone have any experience of this cystocele repair and its long term consequences. I am not keen on having a pessary for the rest of my life, it has helped, and is worth it short term, but it is a foreign object and I worry about infection.

Can anyone come along with some advice. The urodynamic studies are worth having if anyone is worrying about having one btw. I am 68 and would rather have a repair now whilst I am still relatively (!) young and fit rather than waiting ten years down the line when I may be less able to tolerate an operation and the condition getting worse.
