I contracted C Diff some years ago. I have every sympathy with anyone who has it as it's most unpleasant and for me I daren't go out unless I knew where the nearest loo was.

It's taken a long time for me to get back to some normality but I still am very careful what I eat and I always check out where toilets are and take a little bag of wipes etc with me

Most likely the result of taking antibiotics, they kill off good gut bacteria.

I agree- could be the anti-biotics.

Have you been an inpatient ?
Diarrhoea is a common side affect of antibiotics....doesn't have to be infectious

DH had recurring C.Diff . He got it in hospital where it spreads like wildfire.
Isn’t it possible that your gut has been disturbed by the a/b’s and you need to try a probiotic. The children always used to get diarrhoea after antibiotics when they were small and I would give them live yogurt
Of course if you have been in hospital or had contact with C.Diff it may of course be that.

I’ve just finished a course of antibiotics and I’ve now got severe diarrhoea I read about C.Diff and just came back from my doctor who’s arranged a stool test. Has anyone had experience of this it’s scaring the life out of me!
