I just wonder if anyone knows - do you have to pay for carers who come in morning and evening after discharge from hospital?
My husband has had a stroke and is not walking well - needing help to get to the bathroom/toilet etc. I am doing it alone this weekend and got on OK.
However, the hospital told him he would need carers to come and help me . They called today to start morning and evening tomorrow.
No one has mentioned how much it will cost or even if I have to pay. I am a bit worried as I am not sure I need to afford it if it costs a lot. ( I thought it was part of continuing care post stroke but hubby asked me about it tonight and now I am worried.).
Will they make us pay for care they ordered or can I cancel it as I really do not think I can afford it ( I can probably manage alone).
