Mascara 4 weeks after cataract surgery

I would leave it longer. Eyes are so delicate and important. Mascara brushes can harbour lots of germs.

I had both eyes done and I was advised to wait four weeks and I started using it after the four weeks was up I had no problems

I had cataract surgery to both eyes but stopped using mascara as I can't see that close to put it on!

Have you already had your cataract op? If not, maybe eyelash dying would be a good option.

Do you have a post operative appointment booked to check on it?
My mother-in-law was advised not to use anything till after that.

You can wear light eye make up 4 weeks after surgery

Holiday booked 4 weeks after first cataract op. It would be nice to be able to wear eye make up. Can anyone recommend a brand of mascara which is suitable - without too many 'bits' or anything which might irritate the eye? Or eye shadow / eyeliner which is similarly non-irritating? Sunglasses during the day, of course, but it would be good to have the option of make up for evenings out.
