Dual motor riser recliners - have you bought one recently?

On our recliner sofas the footrests lift to horizontal before the back starts to recline.
I'm not aware that they've got two motors, they're just "normal" as far as I know?
They don't tilt forward to help you stand up though, is that where a second motor is involved? Dad has a chair that does both moves.

Just a thought, but it may be worth having a look on your local Facebook Marketplace or Gumtree, as you often get people selling them, often in almost new condition. We got one for my MiL from a woman who had bought it for her mother, but she only had it a matter of days before dying suddenly. It was an HSL one, dual motor, and we got it for a fraction of what it would have cost to buy new. I know not everyone likes to buy secondhand, but if cost is an issue, it may be worth considering.

We bought from HSL you can raise the feet without reclining the back and also have the chair bring you to a standing position.

Not cheap though £2,500.00

Bought one for DH from HSL. His was leather and had two motors. Quite expensive but a lot of that was the leather material.
Dual motors means that you can raise and lower the back independently of the feet. With on motor as the feet come up the back reclines. DH wanted to sit upright with his feet up so we had dual motor one.

Thanks Whiff. I realise having 2 motors will make it heavy but I need to be able to lift the foot rest without reclining the back.

Cressida I don't know anything about them but you have to consider the weight of them as the motors are heavy.

I bought a manual recliner I paid £500 it was from Wayfair its perfectly fine. I didn't want to pay the price for a motorised one.

Where did you buy from and how much did you pay? I need a chair that will let me sit upright with my legs raised.
