Plasters causing raw skin

I am allergic to micropore and elastoplast. I have to buy plasters for sensitive skin. Your pharmacist could ask your pharmacist for advice.

Use microspore surgical tape, that should be fine, easily available

I have an allergy to the glue used in certain brands. Try a different brand of hypoallergenic/sensitive plasters

If it somewhere where this would work, you could keep the dressing in place by wearing something over it, such as a piece of elastic stocking, or the sleeve cut from an old jumper or cardigan. Or the top of a sock (with the foot removed) fits well on a wrist or lower arm -it also covers a wound on the palm or back of a hand, if you make a small hole for the thumb to go through, and wear it with the fraying cut end concealed under a sleeve.

If its position is somewhere that these won't work, I can't suggest anything.

My skin is like tissue paper and I am always covered in plasters. I use the low adhesive ones and the nurse at the surgery gave me a can of spray that eases off the plasters without needing to pull on the skin. See if your chemist can get this for you

Thanks for suggestions. You're all so kind. The GP sent me to the treatment room and they have given me suitable plasters/pads etc. Our practice is wonderful. I was seen this morning by GP and nurse after lunch. And the nurse will monitor it. Feel reassured too.

depending on the type of dressing you need, you may find a conforming bandage useful.
