How long does it take broken ribs to heal?
Google, and A&E have answers, but if you’ve experienced this, what do you remember?

In my experience it took 6/ 8 weeks to feel OK again.

Thanks. That means there’s a long way to go.
I’ll stock up on painkillers and pause my gym membership.

I broke my ribs a few years ago, when I missed my footing on the attic ladder - took about 2 months to fully recover - painful time, more so because I have Bronchiectasis, which meant regular coughing to clear my lungs. I used to hold a cushion over my ribs, when I felt the need to cough,
Two months seems a long time, but you will recover fully.
Take care !

In the words of Elton John, I’m still standing (it’s easier than sitting).
I feel for you CrazyH. I only cough occasionally thank heavens, but laughing is not funny!
I have a cushion at hand to ward off the dog’s sympathetic attacks. I’ll remember that for coughing and laughing now.
