Flu jab and feeling grim!

Oh, dear, I do hope you feel a lot better soon.
I had a flu jab yesterday, slightly sore arm, nothing else. Was offered COVID jab at the same time, but declined - very busy today and tomorrow, cooking and family descending, so
couldn’t risk feeling at all ‘off’.

Having said that, dh had both together the other day, no problem.

I am booked in for flu jab only. Not having that horrible covid jab. Did the same last time and the queue for flu only was much longer than for both. So a lot of people must think like me.

They may, like me, get them separately.

Anyone had a reaction to the RSV vax on its own? I was decidedly off colour for 3/4 days afterwards

Had both yesterday and my arm was very painful so could only lie in one position. Didn’t sleep well as a consequence and feel a bit tired ( after taking dog out) so not too bad really.

We get ours tomorrow. I usually have a reaction from one or the other, and on Tuesday I get my second shingles one, so goodness knows how I'll feel on Wednesday.

I had flu and Covid vaccs 2 days ago and no problem other than slight tenderness in both arms. My concern was the small clinic area . It was full to capacity of 40 seats plus another 10 folk standing round the wall. I was sitting there thinking this is the perfect environment to pass on Covid if any of us are currently incubating it !

Never had a reaction after flu+COVID jabs but even if I had it wouldn't deter me from having a potentially lifesaving jab. And I'm having an RSV jab this month too.

I've had both vaccinations this morning at my GP surgery, one in each arm.
Two nurses working together, one each side!

I've had a maple pecan plait and a cup of coffee and feel ok so far 😋 😁🤞

Taking Dad for his this afternoon, we're at different surgeries.

It seems as if the Covid and flu jabs together are affecting people differently. A family member had both on Thursday and is still feeling off.
I’ve yet to book a flu vaccine, not eligible for a Covid one.

I don't know whether it's autosuggestion or not, but both DH and I feel ropey following our flu jabs this morning.

I had the two jabs yesterday and feel awful. Don’t know if there is a connection but haven’t had a bad reaction before.

We are having our flu jab next Tuesday, we will go to a walk in centre for the COVID jab. Our GP practice has a mass session on Saturdays but that is the day we go out so we book the flu jab at Boots every year and touch wood have never had an adverse reaction.

That made me laugh ferry 🙂

I had flu & Covid earlier this morning. I had them both together last year and I was fine.

Thought I had an itchy arm about 20 minutes ago and started to think I was getting a reaction but then realised it wasn't the arm I had the jabs in grin

Charleygirl5 Sat 05-Oct-24 10:32:19

I never have both together in case there is a reaction. Only excessive tiredness from the very first Covid vaccine but I have been fine ever since.

DH and I had our covid and flu jabs yesterday. No problem with the flu jab but the covid one kicked in quite fast and my arm was so very stiff and uncomfortable. It's beginning to ease a bit now but it's very unpleasant. Still, if it keeps us on a healthy path it's worth it.

Sorry to hear you’re feeling rough thankfully no effects for me I had Flu and Covid yesterday and apart from sore arms I’m fine.
Hope you feel better soon.

My 10 year old granddaughter had her flu sniff up the nose one at school yesterday morning. By school pick up she was tired, aching legs and unwell. A little brighter today but not right. I was due mine this morning but have had a bad sore throat and headache last few days so have delayed it until feeling better! I am nervous of all vaccines at moment as I seem to react badly as getting older!

henetha Sat 05-Oct-24 10:18:08

I hope you are too. .
I'm having both flu and covid jabs later this morning and am a bit apprehensive. I've never had a bad reaction but there's always a first time, especially now the two are together.
Enjoy your weekend in Norfolk. smile

I had a flu jab yesterday, last night and today I feel grim!

I am coughing sneezing, took a hot water bottle to bed the awoke a couple of hours later boiling hot.
I have never had a reaction before.

Hoping I’m feeling better for our break in Norfolk tomorrow🤞.
