Just actually got an appointment for December. Doctor wondered if I have an ulcer. The text I received said I would receiveinstructions nearer the date. Looking things up there are risks so can’t help feeling anxious. I am 83 and not robust. Have been below par for some time. Any one had one? Can you recall what had to be done or not done as preparation? Also how did you feel after as only a few days before Christmas.

Thank you all so much. I will endeavour to go forth with courage knowing that my Gransnet friends have gone before. 😅👍

I had an endoscopy and a colonoscopy in the same session. I opted for the sedative and felt very detached from the entire procedure. I watched on the screen as though it were a movie. It felt more uncomfortable than painful. They kept me in for about half an hour to recover and I went home in a taxi accompanied by my nephew. He did offer to stay the night but I sent him home as I was ok after an hour or so.
