Covid injection - reaction ?

I had a covid booster jab two years ago.24 hours later I took myself to hospital for turned out to be a large blood clot in one lung which was spreading across to the other one.
I was very lucky as was alone in the house at the time, but thankfully my nurse training and experience told me what my symptoms were. A close family member and a relative through marriage both were found dead of this.
I have refused all covid jabs since.

Do you mind me asking what those symptoms were that enabled you to know what was happening?

I had the injections last saturday and one in each arm. The arm with the covid was sore and I had high temperature and flu symptoms all weekend. Ached in every joint.

Reading this is interesting. I was itchy for about a week I couldn’t stand still for itchiness!

I was given 'spikevax' (what a horrid name ) and had no reaction whatever, not even a heavy arm.

I had my flu jab on 15/10 and my covid on 25/10 both at my local pharmacy.

With the flu one I had a slightly sore arm for 3 days. For the covid - nothing at all!. I didn't feel the injection ( in fact I didn't know it had been administered ), and didn't have a reaction.

Mr LP had both his on the 17/10 and 25/10, and again, no reaction.

We are both grateful for the injections to help keep us safe.

Had both injections, flu and Covid in same arm beginning of the week No reaction whatsoever no sore arm or anything Never have had that was Covid (injection number 9) and annual flu

My hubby had blood clot in his calf, slim, fit, non drinker/ smoker.
We aren’t having any more- although both had flu jabs.

I don’t want to worry you but you should keep an eye on that calf Esmay, that is a symptom of deep vein thrombosis, a clot that can move elsewhere. I know, I’ve had one. That doesn’t mean your pain is one, it’s probably nothing much and you just strained a muscle for example.

Netherbyg84 - didn’t realise you could take antihistamines 4 times a day.

I had a banging headache for more than 12 hours after the covid jab and a heavyish arm. Nothing at all after the flu jab a week or so later. Not even a painful arm.

Not for me.
Still suffering hives and angiodoema 3 years on from the last booster (Pfeiser). This condition is now resistant to the 4 times daily anti histamines i take.

Nothing untoward detected .
I'll just have to see if it recurs and with inflammation and heat .

I am curious as last year when I had injections together I was told they are not live and I wouldn’t have a reaction.

I think that's a misunderstanding, a vaccine that's not 'live' can't give you the disease it's supposedly going to protect you from. You can definitely get side effects from any vaccine and they can be recorded on the yellow card register.

I had both mine , flu and Covid in same arm two days ago ( as I’d stumbled against a wall a couple of days before and had a badly bruised left arm) so had them both in my right arm no reaction at all no soreness don’t even know whereabouts the needles went in, feel fine

I had flu on a Friday and Covid the following Monday - the nurse said it was Moderna different to what I’ve had previously - have been fine but extremely tired for a week following .

Me and DH had both injections on Monday. I had a sore arm (still have!), but DH didn't. However, I was fine, apart from being tired and having a little back ache, but DH had a really bad reaction. On the Tuesday he came home from work at 3.00pm and went straight to bed, where he stayed until the next morning. He was drenched in sweat and so were the sheets. He was fine on the Wednesday and went back to work. I have to say though, that whenever DH is ill, he always reacts by suffering with cold sweats - it's very strange!

I have now had 9 Covid jabs in total. I always have the flu jab a few days later and I have never had a reaction with either, not even a painful arm.

fancythat you have been very lucky because it has killed thousands.

I had Covid a few months ago, not pleasant but I am sure it would have been 10 times worse if I had not bothered to take my Covid injections.

I am the opposite.
Never had a covid jab.
Partly as I dont like unnecessary[for me] medication.

May have to change my mind as I get older.
We shall see.

Sorry, but for me any reaction to the jabs is probably better than having full-blown Covid or (real) influenza.

Had one in each arm last week. Absolutely fine.

Had one in each arm last Saturday, Slightly painful little lump in 'covid' arm for two or three days. Was a little more tired than normal on Sunday (but that could have been as much to do with the clock change as jabs).

Please get checked out!
