Husband has had stroke

Sending positive vibes to you and your husband Primrose Just to add, my brother had a severe stroke a couple of years ago. When he was found we had no way of knowing how long he had been collapsed as he was alone at the time. He is as right as rain now apart from a slight weakness in one hand. Good luck.

I am so sorry Primrose and I wish him a positive and speedy recovery. It is important to remember that he will be very scared, particularly if he cannot communicate at all. Stay strong and take things a day at a time

So very sorry to hear your news. My husband had a bad brain bleed but was able to work again. There is life after a stroke, it’s just a different life.

My thoughts are with you and your husband, I know what you are feeling. My husband had a stroke five years ago, similar symptoms to your husband. I felt both our lives as we knew them were over but after five days in the Norfolk &Norwich he had improved dramatically. The stroke team were amazing, I could never thank them enough for their care, particularly when he came home home with visits from the early discharge team and OT's. It was three months when he couldn't drive and he felt very tired for weeks but to look at him now you would never know it had happened. He is in the best place, don't despair, the team there are the best. I hope he is home with you very soon.
