I have problems with my eyes and have found just ice packs seem as good as the most expensive costmetics.

Sorry only just come across this . Optician said a lot of us get gritty eyes as we get older which can make them sore and puffy . She recommended daily use of an eye mask that you heat up in the microwave and then place over the eyes for 10 minutes . The heat releases the grittiness . I sometimes forget but when I use it I find my eyes clearer when I wake up . I think most opticians sell them and can recommend a reliable one .

I have had very good sleep now but the puffiness hasn't reduced. I have lots of friends who have chronic insomnia but no eye puffiness. When I see photos of my dad he also had the puffy eyes so I think it may be more genetic than anything...

Lack of sleep due to bouts of ill health has made me age quickly, some nights I don’t get 2 hours. If ever I get 5/6/7 hours i feel a different person, have to live with what i am just glad at the moment I can manage. I try to do more tgan I can as I like mixing with my friends but I know its at my health's detriment. I think if I wore glasses it would help reduce the appearance of bags and dark circles, always said prefer to wear out not rust out.

I’m another one who’s decided just to accept that I have puffy eyes. Then again I’m in my late 70s and have never been a thing of beauty and a joy for ever.

Yes. I have had puffy eyes for years. Tried everything- eye masks, tea bags, cucumber, creams and potions, exercises, the lot.

I did ask the surgeon who did my cataracts if surgery would help andhe said no, and might even make things worse.

Now if I really need to I might wear a bit of concealer but otherwise I came to terms with the puffiness and it bothers me less and less now.

I do wear glasses which makes me feel helps, even if it probably doesn't.

Sorry I can't offer more- maybe others can, but I've given up trying!

Hi, I have puffy eyes and I guess are part of getting older. No medical reason as I have been checked out by optician. Has anyone had this problem and had anything done to alleviate this situation. Cosmetic surgery ? Creams just exasperate the problem making the look more swollen.
