I am having two lower front teeth extracted, due to an abscess in the root of one of them.
I already have a partial denture for the lower back, which is a chrome one and I hardly notice it now.
The new immediate partial will be acrylic and I am worried that I will find it difficult to adjust to it in regard to speaking and eating.
I decided on acrylic as teeth can be added in future if necessary.
I know that an immediate one will be thicker, but can't face going without front teeth for months.
Will the fact that the gums at the back have already shrunk, as I have had the back denture for 30 years, help with the fit of the new immediate?
Has anyone experienced this?
I am getting really stressed as the extraction is next week. I know it has to be done, but I'm hating the thought of no front teeth.
Nails splitting vertically - help.
Should the NHS charge for such things?
do you have plasterboard on your walls?
