Investigated obvs.

I’m not exercising or anything. Just sitting in the sun or a very hot place (worse with a hat) and I feel sweat rolling down my scalp. Sometimes the first hint is sweat dripping onto my neck! I am definitely going to have to get this investigating. I don’t think I’ve always done this, perhaps the last ten years. I wonder if that’s a clue.

Oh golly! That sounds bad, Georgesgran, I don’t like the thought of that.

I get it on my face so in warm weather my face just streams. No where else. It is embarrassing.

Almost 20 years DD1 had an operation to remove a tumor from the parotid nerve on one side of her face. On that side, instead of saliva being produced in her mouth, it actually leaks out of the side of her head (just when eating and just certain foods). The remedy has been regular (NHS) Botox injections, 15 at a time into her head to tighten the nerve ending and reduce the leakage.

Petra thank you for the link.

Luckylegs it happens whenever I exercise, even a brisk walk will set it off, and when the weather is very warm. And, yes the sweat drips from my hair and sometimes gets in my eyes. I get myself in a state as i feel that everyone notices and think this probably makes it worse. I never wear a hat in warm/hot weather for this reason. I never notice anyone else with this problem so it's reassuring to know I'm not alone.

Thanks for the referral to that article, petra, it was interesting and I’ve got the proper name for it now. I’ll read it again and see what meds were mentioned. I take a long list of meds as it is but I’m going to have to try and pursue it with my GP.

Jalyn you have given me hope that it’s not just me. Do you suffer so much when it’s sunny and hot? Does your hair literally drip with sweat?

Luckylegs
Have you been recommended any meds mentioned in this article? www.sweathelp.org/where-do-you-sweat/sweaty-face-and-head.html

Yes, I have this problem and have not managed to resolve it. It's horribly embarrassing. So, I will follow this with interest. Sorry I can't offer any solution but do empathise.

I don’t sweat much at all in normal times but my scalp runs like a tap and I don’t know if I can do anything about it. It’s worse if I wear a hat which I have to or the expensive colour I pay for would just fade completely. It drips down my hair and I end up completely wet through. This has been really embarrassing in restaurants you can imagine, apart from being a nuisance. Does anyone else suffer from this and have you found any remedy?
