Wheat bags

Are the rice filled ones any better, does anyone know?

Sometimes a hot water bottle is too heavy.
I have an electrical heat pad, but Sometimes that is too bulky as well🙄😄

I’d use a hot water bottle. Wheat bags don’t hold the heat for very long and using the oven to heat them, even if safe, could be expensive.

I had one found it got damp when done in the microwave so I just sent it back. Haven’t bothered since…

I have one - I use it over my neck - it really helps but the heat doesn’t last long - that’s the only problem.

DD2 had one years ago, in the shape of a teddy bear. I totally misjudged the timing and it caught fire in the microwave! I can remember fishing it out with ‘something’ and hurling it into the garden.

I imagine modern ones are perfectly safe, if the instructions are followed.

No I haven’t but can’t imagine it would be very safe. However I do use one that I heat in a microwave and it’s excellent particularly for rheumatism.
