I’m sorry I can’t help with your problem but if it is getting worse rather than better I do think a call to your GP is in order.

I have used Imodium for holiday Diarrhoea and it is very effective but I’m not sure it is OK after hospital treatment.

Imodium is my friend. I sometimes use it as a prophylactic, if I have to go on a long car journey etc. I have stress related IBS, so, Imodium is a great help. It also takes effect almost immediately.

And yes, antibiotics can cause a tummy upset.

That is what your doctor, with all of that training and experience is for.
We just know what works for us, and don't have your notes or the understanding of how all the meds you have been taking will interact with each other.

My dog gets it all the time and I’m always googling it or asking about it on dog Facebook pages. I never remember how to spell it even when I’ve been googling it for days! It’s the sort of word that seems like an anagram of itself. However going back to the OP I think I’d be tempted to get medical advice ( if it’s possible to speak to someone these days) if it’s severe and the result of antibiotic treatment. 111 perhaps?Would it be worth taking d Mannose as a preventative in future? I use Imodium all the time because of IBS; can’t go anywhere without it. Slippery elm is also good for diarrhea; I’m currently giving it to my dog and am going to get some for myself as it soothes and coats the digestive system and helps it to recover.

I sometimes think that a placebo Imodium would help me as mine is stress related, too.
