Dentist has recommended a partial denture on upper jaw 3 teeth on one side and one on the other...
Any GNs have experience of the products. fit and comfort...as I'm just going on what he recommended.
Thank you!smile

I took the decision to have permanent dentures 15 years ago, I went to Hungary as less than half the price in the UK. I love them.

Do you still have that plate bit?

Do you mean implants Silvertwigs?

I have a smallish skin tag on my lower eyelid. It is very annoying especially when I wear make up as it becomes coloured with my eyeliner. I understand I can't have it removed on the NHS. Has anyone experience of having one removed privately?

I suggest you start a new thread maybe so people see your post?

My GP did the first, sent me to hospital for skin damage on my nose, and the nurse practitioner at the GP did the latest one.

But there are preparations that remove smaller tags - talk to your pharmacist

I have a partial upper denture. I have to use a fixative to keep it in place. I do get a bit of soreness when I take it out but not whilst it is in place.

The bane of my life. Total top, partial lower. Lots of problems along the way, This set I've had close to 18 months and new set in the process of berm ing made (about 16 appointments for these alone).
I just hate the feel of them in my mouth, have to cushion them with adhesive otherwise it's like walking barefoot on rough ground. Mentioned this to the dentist, who suggested I needed acupuncture or counselling to deal with them!!!
By the finish of this set, I will have paid £11,500 for this set and the upcoming ones. Had to go private, no NHS in our area. And to cap it all, they started off rather too white, and despite rigorously adhering to cleaning instructions, they have gone a nasty shade of yellow.
So you get what you pay for doesn't seem to have applied here!
Just hoping the new ones are a whole lot better.

I have a partial top denture 2 teeth either side and 2 at front (not together) 6 in total. I’ve had my denture for about 14 years, it did have 5 teeth but I broke a crown at the front last year so had another tooth added.
I use Fixodent (no flavour) just a smallish blob in the middle. I soak my denture in Steradent for at least an hour daily, the teeth are the same colour as the day I got it.
It’s never been uncomfortable my dentist adjusted a couple of spots when I first got it and I’ve never had any problems with it.
