Sorry, that should say Dermacare.

I have had to use an olive oil spray recently before having wax removed. I have had hearing aids for many years but I think it was the olive oil that made my ears itch.

Pharmaceutical olive oil only aggrevated the dermatitis in my ears.
I mentioned it to a family member, hospital consultant. He suggested Dernacare. I buy it from Boots. After years of itching ears it's worked wonders. No more soreness, itching and scaly ears. My ears were like this long before I needed hearing aids. Now perfectly comfortable.

I put off having a hearing test for ages as I was worried hearing aids would cause a recurrence of the awful itchy dermatitis I’d suffered with for years. The audiologist recommended a spray called EarCalm which I’ve used and no issue at all with itchy ears. It’s available in high street pharmacies or on online.

I've had my hearing aids for about ten years. Recently I've started to have terrible itchy ears. The most recent episode of it just won't go away.
The audiologist has said not to wear the aids all the time and I don't, just when I really have to. I do olive oil at night as well as audiologist said.
Do grans have anything more they can suggest?
