Following my mega bout of cellulitis earlier this year, I have now been diagnosed with CVI, which is apparently why my ankle is still swollen and painful.
My GP has referred me to the hospital vascular team but it will apparently be a long wait for an appointment. In the meantime, I wondered whether anyone has experience of or advice about this condition please?

My husband has this, no pain but swollen ankles and top of feet. Normally it is just a case of exercising as much as possible, putting your feet up and on pillows at night and wearing support socks. . There are lots of private clinics that will do a Doppler ultrasound for about£250 to see if any blockages in veins. If just one ankle this is more possible I assume if both often just the micro circulation (Google Donald Trump)and v common in older people. My husband is busy loosing weight which helps but obviously no relevant to all cases. All the best

Does putting your feet up help, on a stool, not a couch?
There are simple physio exercises to try, like, siting, then moving your foot forward then back. But do check fist, in case this makes it worse.
Good luck.
