Hypertonic pelvic floor

Just wondering if anyone has experience or knowledge of a hypertonic pelvic floor.

I’ve been experiencing problematic symptoms since March. Mainly with overactive muscle spasms within the anal sphincter’s, thighs & glutes.

All of the above has caused me to be diagnosed with painful thrombosed haemorrhoids, intense painful anal fissure, niggling hip bursitis and gluteal tendinitis.

I’m due to have a flexi sigmoid camera this week (also the unknown & dreading the procedure)

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Can't help with the problems you have, but the sigmoidoscopy I had this year was no problem at all. I didnt have sedation as I am caring for my DH and have no one to look after me.
The staff were very kind. I was offered the enema to do at home beforehand, but asked for it to be done in the unit. Which is what I had. A bit undignified....but who cares.
There was onr little bit of the oscopy which was a bit painful and I could have had gas and air, but it was all over so quickly and soon back in a "ward" and having the best cup of tea and biscuits ever. I had dreaded the whole thing, but honestly it was OK. Ask for sedation which could help you in view of your conditions. I didnt because I wantednto be back home quickly and sedation recovery takes longer.

I was given the written results at the time and was soon home. I had a cab each way but without sedation I could have driven. Good luck with the oscopy and with your condition.

Hope it goes well. I've had a colonoscopy which I think is similar but takes longer. It isn't as bad as you think while waiting for it. After fasting the sandwich and cup of tea they gave me was like the best meal ever.
