Has anyone had laser treatment to relieve pressure in their eyes due to Glaucoma, if the drops have not worked. If so has it worked and was it painful?. Thanks

My SIL had laser treatment, she said it was completely painless it did work and she’s had no further problems.

As far as I know, having had it for other eye problems, laser treatment is normally painless

My husband is having laser treatment on his eye next week. It's for blurry vision after a cataract operation so not glaucoma. He has been assured that it is quick and painless.

I ve had both eyes done for that reason took about ten minutes per eye had them both done together less than half an hour for the visit and no pain, no feeling at all.
Did have a big old floater for a few days afterwards kept feeling like ducking as it came for me I called it my seagull It was gone within a week

Yes I did almost 18 months ago. Its called an Irridotomy sp?. Took very little time. Both eyes. A small hole is lasered into the iris to allow the fluid in the eye to drain more easily. Its a painless procedure. The pain is having to put in drops several times a day for a few days afterwards
. Had to make a timetable and I am used to putting glaucoma drops in my eyes daily anyway for the last 20 years.
It seems to have worked and the pressures are dow.n. I now need a cataract op. Not looking forward to that!!

Yes I too have had laser treatment in both eyes. Firstly for blurring following cararact surgery and then for glaucoma . No pain at all, very quick with no after effects except maybe a little soreness and it did reduce the pressure as hoped.
