If the CT is in 4 days time I’d hold off from cancelling just yet. Advice is usually to be free of diarrhoea and vomiting symptoms for 48 hrs before mixing with others. It hopefully might settle in the next 2 days. Norovirus is rife at the moment and although the symptoms are dreadful it can subside again in 48hrs. Hope you feel better soon.

If you currently have flu symptoms with diarrhoea and feel weak, it’s usually best to postpone a CT scan, especially if contrast might be used, as dehydration can be an issue. Hospitals also prefer you not attend while infectious. Contact the radiology department or your google doodle baseball GP as soon as possible — they can advise and rearrange without losing your place. Your health comes first.

A CT scan wouldn't be done when you are in this state. I agree with affecttext and your place can be reallocated. You will not lose yours because it is genuine, and you have given them notice.
