I just wash my back normally with a sponge and body wash. It's quite enough.

I use a loofah.
Our skin is the largest organ of the human body and possesses natural oils/secretions that keep the skin healthy, to keep removing the upper layer is not good for this organ. Cleaning the skin gently is enough.

I can easily reach the backs of both my legs with an towelling scrub mitt and I use a back brush for my back. I’ve seen the advertisements claiming that our skin is crawling with dirt and bacteria because we aren’t “washing properly “! What a load of BS! I am over 70 yrs of age and there’s no dead skin flakes, blackheads, pimple or any other detritus on my back and legs.

My SM pages are currently swamped by adverts for back scrub mesh towels, preferably with silver and carbon fibre , which we should be using instead of loofahs or those plastic scrunchie things, which they assure me are unhygienic and hold germs!
They imply that our backs or legs or hard to reach places hold a harvest of dead skin cells.
Has anyone tried them? Do you feel better for having used them?
