Has anyone had one of these?
I’m booked in for tomorrow and I’ve suddenly become really apprehensive, after just reading in the letter to take two paracetamol before I go.
I’m really worried it’s going to be very painful and dreading it now.
Can anyone offer some advise?
Can I ask for some other pain relief as paracetamol doesn’t really work for me.

I had one not long ago.
Took the paracetamol and it was enough for me.
They used a topical anaesthetic too.
There was a thread about this a couple of months ago.
Take the paracetamol as they suggest I think.

I had one several years ago. I took the paracetamol and it was fine.

Take the paracetamol and try to relax. If it gets to much for you, ask the Doctor/technician to stop.
Please do not worry, (easier said than done) because you remember you have the authority over your own body.

Thanks everyone for your advise, it went ok, not totally pain free but ok 😊

So pleased Dolly
Often the thought seems worse than reality.
Good for you!

Three, here. Pressure and a bit of discomfort as I had to have polyps removed during the procedures. I hadn’t been advised to take anything the first time but it wasn’t so bad. Took ibuprofen subsequently but didn’t really notice much difference.
