Do any of you gransneters use a BP app to record blood pressure? Would like a free one to record not to actually take bp.

To be honest I’d just write the result in my diary. That way you can see if fluctuations coincide with any particular events.

Thanks teabagwomen but don’t have a diary. Anyone else have any ideas? All the ones I’ve looked at want you to subscribe.

My surgery provides an excel spreadsheet, not much help to you I’m afraid.

I keep an A6 notebook with my BP monitor.
That works for me.

Is there something about an app you feel is more useful?

My home monitor has a memory that records the last 30 or so. If I can be bothered, I later copy them out. The trouble is, my DH uses the machine too, so we don't know whose is whose! Well, we do actually, because his result is always in his boots.

I photograph them on my phone

I use Notes app on my iPhone. Most android phones have a similar pre installed app.

Notebook and pen here. I have an app but find it a faff

You could use an online diary / calendar to record your results

I keep a record in the Notes app on my iPhone.

I have an Excel workbook for recording BP and test results.

For our GP surgery, you're supposed to be able to send BP figures online, but I can't make it work so I just take a photo and send that. I know it makes a bit more work for the staff.

I use HealthNest app. It’s really easy to use and will record all your readings and keep a running average of the last week or month’s worth of recordings.
Designed by a GP and very simple.

I use the online calendar on my phone and create a Take BP task for everyday. Then edit the title each day to my bp reading

I use the app that comes free with my Omron BP device - syncs my weighing scales too. Bit of a faff to set up but once done it keeps the records for years. I used to be 8 stone apparently (didn't have the Bp machine at that time) - thanks Omron

I used BP Journal. It's free and easy to use. It gives you a rolling 30 day average, statistics and charts which are customisable, for example, you can choose to look at results from a certain time period.
It allows your data to be explored to pdf files which can be sent to your GP.

Oh my gosh - you are all so meticulous in your BP monitoring. So, do you it twice daily ?

Blossoming Sat 07-Mar-26 19:21:05

Not anymore 😁

Have you searched. They are out there.

DH simply uses a word table. Tried to get him to use excel as you could then put sums in to monitor changes but he is happy with the table, which he sends in

Paper and pencil works quite well
