Thanks again for your help everyone.
Think I've got what I need now.

That must be so annoying for you jusnoneed when you've managed to avoid medication for so long. I think cellulitis is a difficult one.
I do hope it clears this time, and you don't have to take more antibiotics.

Yes that's what I have nadateturbe, for cellulitis, horrible things and will be glad to finish the 10 days. Third lot since last November.
I try to avoid medication and doctors! Only take paracetamol as a last resort. He was amazed that I have got to 70 with no tablets, and I told him I intend to keep it that way.

Thanks Wyllow3. I really hope so. I can't take many antibiotics without strong reactions. This is one of the few I can tolerate.

jusnoneed I had flucloxacillin a few weeks ago for a boil infection. Same instructions as you. Such a nightmare timing the doses.

I so hope it works, nadateturbe.

I am taking 4 AB's a day at the moment, I roughly space them out by taking one when I get up at around 6am and the second 10.30/11ish, third about 3.30pm and last one around 7.30/8pm. This allows for the one hour before or two hours after food that mine have to be taken. Also the ones I have cannot be taken too close to bedtime as you cannot lie down straight after taking one.

Although it says four times a day, it doesn't have to be at exact six-hour intervals. So, in a ideal world, you would take it at say 6am, noon, 6pm and midnight - but in practice, you can adjust those times by one to two hours to suit your schedule, such as 7am, 1pm, 7pm and 11pm.

one dose in the morning, one at bed time, and the other two spaced evenly between them.

Hi nadateturbe.
I looked it up and this sounds sensible:

I've been given Cefalexin to take four times a day. Do I have to take every six hours, i.e., waken during the night?
How important is it. This is the second course in a row to treat uti. Want to get it right.
Thanks
