Yes, our practice is one. So pleased that ex service people can get the treatment they need as I feel many have been shodily treated in the past.

My GP surgery offers the same thing (Nottingham)

I used to go to a practice where there was a medic who had served in the forces. Their webite said they did provide services for veterans but quite what they were I don't know as I'm not a veteran myself. However, it must be a good thing this is available for those that need it.

Thank you. Yes it will be of interest to Ex military personnel. I think it is a wonderful idea thank you for sharing it with us.

We live in an area of the country with possibly the highest number of UK Armed Services personnel.

Not only that, but I learned something new today. DS, no longer in the forces, sustained an injury and had to visit a local minor injuries unit, not his GP. He was patched up OK, but in the course of conversation it was mentioned that he could sign up at a veterans' friendly gp surgery for NHS support and treatment. Apparently they have medical staff with military healthcare background , and help veterans access NHS services. The map shows where they are located if anyone is interested or has relatives.
It took him minutes to apply and be accepted at a surgery.
