Anyone take this? DD is recommending it as she has found it helpful for her gut problems.
I have an irritable gut. It has been investigated by sigmoidoscopy and not much subsequent advice from the hospital apart from try and eliminate foods which make it worse and take Laxido every day.
So am tempted to give it a go. Starting with a small "dose" daily and drinking plenty of fluid with it.
I have recently started on Atorvastatin which is ginving me wind and constipation and hoping this may help.
Any comments. Thanks.

That's not going to cure anything. It helps with constipation and is a good source of soluble fibre, it's also a prebiotic which is necessary if you take probiotics, the pros can't work without the pres.

But as someone with ibs-d I wouldn't advise it, it makes things a lot worse.

All it does is add bulk to your stomach contents, so can give your digestive system something to work with, one way or the other (ie it can help with both diarrhoea and constipation).

It is not a medication, just soluble fibre. I use the capsules occasionally to help with gastritis, and find them gentle and effective.

Have you tried Fibogel or Cosmocol? They get things moving gently 😉.

The p husk arrived and I shall start with a very low amount and let you know. Fibogel I think contains p husk anyway. My sister takes chia seeds for gastric problems. But has only recently started. I will see how she gets on.
So many of us have these problems.
