Pubic ramus fracture

I’ve just decided that’s what is wrong with me! I slipped on some wet seaweed the other week and landed on concrete.
I seemed to be fine then a couple of days later could hardly stand.
I’ve been rubbing Voltorol in and taking paracetamol on the pharmacists advice. It still sore 3weeks later but is getting better.

I had a pelvic fracture a few years ago. Took several months to be pain free and able to walk properly. I had some physio sessions which helped a lot. Just take your time Tessa40bnp these things can't be rushed.

Oh yes, I had one last year for no reason.
I had no idea what had happened until the GP sent me for an X-ray. The Orthopaedic Department didn't want to see me but I was given a link for advice.

I was sent for a Dexa scan but do not have osteoporosis, apparently.

I self-referred to NHS physiotherapy when it felt better as advised by the GP.

The services in your area may be better than ours and your Orthopaedic Department may wish to see you.

All I can say is that I sympathise and it should get better on its own if you are careful. One day I hope you suddenly realise it's not painful any more! 🤞

The people who did the Dexa scan advised taking over-the-counter calcium tablets which I do sometimes but I do take a daily cod liver oil tablet for Vitamin D.

Ooh that sounds so sore. I’m sorry, but I have no advice just sympathy!
