If I’m only going to watch TV, I quite often go to bed 8pm and watch TV! Lights out 10.30 pm and one comfort break in the night, then get up 8am.

I go to bed at 10 and don’t always sleep well. I get up a lot in the night for the toilet. I wake about half past 8 when my husband makes me a cup of tea but don’t get up until nearly 10 most days. I would love to be an early riser but just can’t do it.

My dog persists in wanting out in the garden after midnight if the weather is dry, The result is I get to my bed later than I'd choose to do so. I try to sleep as late as I can in the morning and I reckon seven or eight hours of sleep is average for me.
I’m a night owl. Bed 1am to 3am ish.
Then get up about 10 or 11.
I’d like to be a lark. But I’m not. So it is what it is .
Up between 7 and 8am, bed between 9 and 10pm usually as hubby watches things I'm not interested in so I go up and read.
I get into bed at 9 - ( I go early as I have a neuro condition and if I get cold I suffer!) I watch TV until 10 then sleep. Usually have to get up in the night for the loo but manage to get straight back to sleep. Radio comes on at 5am (I'm nearly always awake), listen to radio 4 until 6am then BBC Breakfast on tv. Husband makes a cup of tea some time before 6.30. I do the wordle, quick flick through the news articles on his phone then up for a shower by 7. Breakfast when I have dressed straight after shower.
I go to bed anytime between 9 and 10 unless I’m out in the evening. I tend to go up and read as DH has tv on so loud downstairs and we watch different things usually. I’m awake a couple of times in the night and always awake from 6 ish I don’t get up until 8.00 to 8.30 am most days.
I go to bed at 1am play games on my phone until 2am then sleep for 7-9 hours. I've tried very hard several times to go to bed earlier but then I'm awake until 4am ish tossing and turning. By not going to sleep until 2am I fall straight asleep within 5 minutes and sleep soundly. I've been like this due to shift work years ago when 11pm until 2am was our busiest time. Wish I could change it but I can't. If I have an early start I fall asleep in the day to make up the lost hours.
I'm actually in bed now and probably won't get up until 2 or 3 a.m. This is quite usual for me and I enjoy rising at dawn.
I am in a guest house at the moment as builders started work on my house and I wanted to get out of the way. My project manager told me he has multiple personality disorder and was in prison for burglary. Sounds completely mad but I know he's going to do a good job. I can feel in me water.
Up at 7.00am, bed at 10.00pm
I’ve read all the other messages Quietlife and there are some good answers especially about drinking. Could it be habit? Are you anxious thinking about your night? There are breathing exercises which take seconds to calm you and let everything relax from your head/neck down. I was terrible at sleeping and tried everything and this has helped. I go to bed at 10 and read for 1 hour every night. I wake at around 3am always, then after a short while sleep until 5 or 6 and get up. I do hope you find something to help you have a better sleep.
Bed at 9.30, asleep by 9.32, awake at 6.30. Tea and breakfast in bed up at 9.30 to face the day.
Try going to bed and getting up at the same time everyday. 10 might be a little early for you as you are trying to sleep 10 hours. You probably need nearer 8 hours
Bedtime usually 12.30 - 1 am but tgen I read for about half an hour. Awake by 5 am and again read until 7.15 when I'm up. Would love to sleep right through to 8 am but just never happens.
Go to bed anywhere between 11pm and 1am. Get up usually between8/8.30am
Glad to see I’m not the only one getting by on 5-6 hours sleep (sometimes less.) The light is off by 10 and I drift off quite easily but wake around 2 to use the loo. I usually manage to go back to sleep but always wake around 5.30. I’m not up till 8 though and use the intervening hours to have a coffee, do some admin and too much scrolling!
I am very rarely asleep before midnight. So no point going to bed early as have difficulty dropping of to sleep.
I never have to get up in the night for anything, so lucky in that respect.
I always wake up around 6am. I don’t want to wake up that early, but I just cannot get back to sleep again.
It’s infuriating as would love to sleep to 9oclock or even later.
My body clock seems to have set itself.
I will lie there for so long, bored, and then have to get up for a cuppa. Then my day can begin.
I go to bed about 11.45pm, read until 1pm/2pm and get up about 10.30am/11am. The beauty of retirement.
So what if you want to get up at 10. What's wrong with that, if it suits you.
Perhaps see your doctor if you think you're getting up too many times for the loo each night. That's going to wear you out. If I have trouble sleeping in the wee small hours I listen to BBC Sounds on my phone. I usually drift off then.
I now go to bed about 8.30 and am awake from about 6am. I get a nice coffee and go back to bed with my dog. He's a great companion
Night before last, I hardly slept…tossing and turning, thinking of, mostly, the past (distant and recent) and the mistakes I made. Can’t do much about it.
So, last night, I decided to count sheep rather than count life’s losses and I slept beautifully 💤 💤💤

I have always hated mornings, in my job as a self-employed book seller ( think Antique Fairs) I had to get up at the crack of dawn often and drive to strange places. In those days I could get up on more normal days at c. 8/9/10 am.
Now however at 80 this year I have developed a terrible pattern of getting to bed c. 2 am, not sleeping til 3/4/5 am then sjeep through the morning, on odd occasions through the day! I have kidney disease and get very fatigued, but oddly this suits me, except when I have appointments. Because of sleep apnoea I daren’t take sleeping pills per se, but I do occasionally take a half dose of Nytol …because it’s light dose it doesn’t ’kick in’ for hours often and then leaves me dopey for the rest of the day!
So those of you worrying you can’t get up til 10 or so, think of me!
I go to bed between 10 pm and 10.30pm. I get up one or twice in the night and then wake up around 6 am and doze until about 7.15, when I usually get up. I usually have a nap in the afternoon
get up 6.30 go to bed 10/10.30
Bed at midnight, read to 1am, get up latest 9am, when I start worrying about people coming to the door, it takes me at least 1 1/2 hours to do my morning exercises, shower and dress which includes putting my face on. I would never answer the door without being fully dressed including my daily make-up.
Upstairs at 9.15. Pamper myself with some body oils and slowly prep for sleep. Sunset on my lumie is at 10 and that sends me to sleep. Usually up at 3 ish, just for the loo and then sleep until lumie sunrise, it is fully bright at 5.45
I have spent some time working on my circadian rhythm and it is now set. My healing deep sleep and Rem sleep have increased. (Garmin ) I don`t have any screens in my bedroom
I have never worried about my sleep but have enough knowledge to put my circadian rhythm back together ie working for me.
win - I wish I could be like you ‘putting your face on ‘ - you remind me of my dear sister-in-law. Always dressed well, make-up, even heels, most of the day.
I am such a slob.😫
