Candesartan

Apologies if this has been discussed before, but any feedback on these blood pressure tablets that I have just been changed to from Ramopril (not agreeing with me as an asthma sufferer)?
I do know that drugs’ side effects vary from person to person but just feeing a bit wary after the previous ones!

Ramipril belongs to a class of drugs known as ACE inhibitors, of which a well-known side effect is a dry cough.

Candesartan is an Angiotensin Receptor Blocker (ARB). Although the outcome is the same, they work differently.

I was changed from an ACE inhibitor to Candesartan many years ago for the same reason. I haven't noticed any side effects from Candesartan, but we're all different.

Thank you - the horrible continuous feeling of fluid at the back of my throat limiting swallowing has been worse then the cough and caused sleepless nights so hopefully the new drugs won’t cause that

I've been taking Candesartan for lots of years and have had no side effects that I can identify. My blood pressure is well under control.
