I’m pleased to hear that your second hip replacement has gone well. I can remember how the first month can be tough, but then it is major surgery, which I think is sometimes easy to forget when we are sent home a couple of days after surgery.
It does get better though, honestly!
I too hated the nights as I struggled to sleep on my back, but from what you say that’s no longer deemed necessary.
My operation was four years ago last Christmas but I remember that I turned a corner after the six week checkup with the surgeon.
If you re posted this on the Hips and Knees thread under Health I’m pretty sure you would get a reply, even from those like me who are a few years down the line!
There may well be someone on a similar timescale to you or even someone who is due to have surgery soon.
