Having just recovered from a session of intertrigo (red yeast infection under bust, I was wondering how other Gnetters prevent this happening again in hot weather. Recommendations, please?

Keep the area as dry as possible. I had a bout when on holiday with the temperature was 35c. It was a devil to get rid of.

Now I use medicated talc in every crack and crevice after showering.

I will be very careful during the next few days and apply the talc after washing as often as necessary.

Haven’t had that problem for a while, but I found Sudocrem really helpful, and at one time used mini-pads to prevent skin on skin contact.
The medic in Italy suggested using a roll-on deodorant on both surfaces and allowing it to dry once the rash had cleared. She also said that would help with chafing thighs (it was 42°) not a problem for me as I was wearing trousers.

If you use an anti fungal shampoo it’s wise to wash under your breasts with that while you shower/wash.
I know this doesn’t apply to anyone posting here but it can have a smell if untreated.
Just passing on infor 😉
