Maccushield (recommended by Michael Mosley in one of his programmes. Ditto prebiotic inulin. Soya and pumpkin because it’s in Jude and I need to stop getting up throughout the night. VitD &K. Omega oils. Magnesium 4 in 1. Plant sterols in an attempt to reduce my bad cholesterol. Oh and turmeric sometimes for my arthritis. If I do start taking statins I’ll add Co enzyme Q10.

Vitamin D between October and March, I expect to have enough sun exposure for the rest of the year due to working outdoors. Also B12 as I am diabetic, and B2 which I’m hoping will do something for eye health

Vitamin D only. Would only take supplements recommended by my GP.

Vitamin D and Calcium as prescribed, nothing else, we eat a varied diet, I certainly wouldn’t take anything a friend recommended.

I take so many different supplements every day and I'm starting to wonder if half of them are actually doing anything. Vitamin D (GP told me to), magnesium for sleep, omega-3, collagen powder in my coffee because a friend recommended it, plus a multivitamin and glucosamine for my knees. That's six things before breakfast!

I want to keep looking after myself - eating well, walking lots - but I'm curious whether everyone else has a whole cupboard full of these too? What do you actually take every day, and has anyone found one or two that you genuinely swear by? Equally interested in anything you've tried and given up on. Sometimes I think we're all just making very expensive wee!
