PVD with haemorrhage

I was shopping a few days ago when I suddenly had a ‘disturbance’ in the vision of one eye - although I’ve got floaters already this was really different from anything I’ve experienced before. Went straight to the nearest opticians for advice and was given an appointment the same day. Optometrist was amazing, diagnosed a PVD straight away and referred me to the hospital for a second opinion as he could see I’d also had a haemorrhage when the vitreous membrane pulled away from the retina. Amazingly I was offered an appointment at the eye clinic of our local hospital the following day! I was given various checks/tests - the fundal contact lens examination was quite scary but the consultant was able to confirm no retinal tear or detachment as yet. I have to go back in 2 weeks for repeat tests (dreading the fundal contact one to be honest but glad we have such an amazing NHS). I’ve been told that I must not lift anything heavy or do any strenuous exercise for 6 weeks to allow time for the eye to settle and to avoid a potential retinal tear/detachment. Over the last year or so I’ve been dieting and also got into the habit (first time in my life…) of 30 minutes aerobics every other day to keep my weight down (they’ve said no yoga or Pilates either - I’m doing Thai chi though). Apart from walking I don’t know what else I can do exercise wise. I’ve done some gardening today, but the huge floaters in my eye look like flies (and spiders when I’m indoors) it’s driving me mad 😂
Anyone else had a similar issue? I’m feeling quite low about it all and terrified of further problems. Sorry about the long post - hope everyone is okay xxx

Follow the advice given- you were seen so quickly because you are in danger of losing your sight, and no amount of exercise is worth that.
Yes, I had similar issues but it wasn't that serious (although my GP referred me straight away) and I am now fine but do remember those 'spiders'.
Keep up with gentle walking but really, I would do nothing until they tell me it is safe to exercise.
