Wallpaper - bring back Laura Ashley 70s/80s style

I know exactly what I want for a small cosy bedroom but can't find it in current ranges. So many modern wallpapers have very dramatic, large patterns that wouldn't be right. In the late 70s we papered my daughter's room in a very simple, fresh and discreet Laura Ashley paper. It was white with pink or blue double stripes - not solid lines - sort of stippled. Does anyone know of anything similar on the market now? (We've still got our LA paper we put up when we moved into our current house in 1986. I still love it & don't see any need to change it. It would be regarded as antique & a sale breaker but I'm hoping the style will become fashionable again soon!)

If you really can't find anything, what about using paint techniques such as sponging?

Many years ago (when I was with exdh) we I decorated the sitting room in our old cottage this way. Several people complimented us on our "wallpaper" !

I too loved Laura Ashley wallpaper. In 1976 DD1's bedroom was decorated in white with a tiny red flower with curtains red with tiny white flower. I also made a patchwork quilt for the cot in these 2 fabrics plus plain red and plain white. Thank you for reminding me of that! I used several others at different times.

OMG - this has brought back a memory of my first marriage. In one of his many jobs there was a rather nice house as part of the deal. The previous occupant had spent a fortune doing it up, fairly recently. The bedroom was all done in grassgreen LA wallpaper with a tiny white flower pattern. Including the ceiling.

I loved the original LA generally and did a whole house with it once and wore the dresses all the time. I had a paper called Rambling Rector in my bedroom (its a rose I believe). LA prints were so popular and a now its all Cath Kidson which I find rather loud and lacking in sublety - Yes bring back Laura Ashley as the lady herself designed it. Sanderson had some lovely WM Morris prints in a similar style.

Cath Kidston does some pretty wallpapers. I made a patchwork quilt (started in the early 80's) from Laura Ashey fabrics....such pretty designs.

I have always dreamed of having a bedroom with LA sweetpea paper all over. Better half loves "Grand design" type of house, and looked horrified the other day when I talked about the sweetpeas coming into our newly constructed bedroom! Managed to convey that I was only joking before he lost his ability to breathe, but have a secret longing despite LA no longer making this lovely pattern.
We lived in a Victorian terraced house, with LA from top bottom - it looked so right, rich and warm. Loved LA, and some of their papers are still worth a look.
