remove tree resin from garment?

I used lemon juice to get banana tree resin from childrens' clothes. It worked a treat. Go easy on dark clothes though, do a test first. Nylon may be quite resilient. Everything else failed, this worked a treat.

Sticky stuff remover from Lakeland removes anything from everything. Do not use hand sanitiser on black, I spilt a few drops on my black jeans and it took the colour out.

Oh yes. Swarfega sounds a good idea. Will try that on carpet where the Xmas tree "leaked" last year.

Swarfega also gets stuff off - had some Copydex rubber glue stuff on a textured fabric skirt once and the chap in the local DIY told me to try it - smear on and leave it - the Copydex just peeled off. Swarfega gets other marks off to and just washes out.

FC seems to have made it less sticky. But still shiny. will try wd40 next.

Could you cut the sleeves off and turn it into a gilet?

I find lighter fuel dissolves most things, and seem to remember using it successfully on stickiness from pine trees.
It is also great for grease spots on clothes and label removal, just wash normally afterwards.

I'm now imagining sleeve of jacket with large hole where resin stain used to be...

Read that peanut butter works as well, and wd40 and hand sanitiser.

Oh it was awful. As I said, I hadn't paid for the car and, after having a scorching hot day I noticed that this stuff was all over the car and it had dried on like glue. Did a bit of googling which said to use stuff like wd40 [which might take the paint off] but also to try fabric conditioner. I had to do it straight away as I felt too worried to sleep. After my divorce I'd saved up for ages to buy a new car. It was a real sickener!

What made you use fabric conditioner, crimson? At one o'clock in the morning....

I've got a pine tree next to my house; in the summer it oozes resin which dries onto the car. When it first happened I thought it had ruined the car [and I still hadn't paid for it ]. Covered it in fabric conditioner at one o'clock in the morning and it came off [without taking half the paint with it]. Don't know if it works on fabric, though.

If that doesn't work, try lard rubbed well in before washing, or medical alcohol.
