Storing Electric Blanket

There was an item on TV recently about electric blanket safety and they found that a worrying number of them were dangerous. Might be worth getting yours checked before you use them again.

You're very welcome I too have only just ma naged to wash and store ours DH is a cold morsel. My blanket is washed and now stored in the zip up bag that it came in ,it says its fine to fold it and store it so.

*Elegran - you obviously know him well grin

Tanith that is a truly brilliant idea and has the added bonus that I will not forget where I have put it, as I do turn the mattress from time to time.

Gransnet to the rescue again smile Many thanks.

How about under instead of on top of the mattress he won't know its there.

Roll it round a cardboard tube? Fabric shops throw them out by the dozen. But he will need it again in a week or two so don't take too much trouble.

I have at last managed to prise cauldrife DH's electric blanket from his bed and it is currently in the wash. However the label says that it must not be FOLDED - although I recall that it arrived folded loosely in a large box so how am I supposed to store it until the Autumn? or should I just put it back unplugged on his bed?
