For just shy of £1,000 for the three, what's not to like? hmm

Terrafirma1 Tue 29-Jul-14 22:58:13

Now now, form an orderly queue!

merlotgran Tue 29-Jul-14 23:00:55

To some, it might be a bear necessity. grin

GrannyTwice Tue 29-Jul-14 23:10:45

Merlot ... Groan. I thought there might be a discount if you bought all three but sadly no ... However, did you see that the arms are adjustable ??? Excited.

Do you get a free Goldilocks if you buy all 3?

Mishap Wed 30-Jul-14 08:54:31

Just the perfect home for carpet beetles and moths.

I want them! But on the other hand, 'dressed in festive garb' in the entrance hall and the Christmas tree as well, we'd have to go round the back to get into the house.

Orvis have been selling bears like that for years, except what I have seen up to now is bears on all fours – to be used as footstools.

It's a Vermont company (or was originally) where bears are part of life.

Having watched the little series last year about the Liberty shop.....they had a huge and rather scabby looking polar bear for three times as much.....I thought the Orvis bears were a bargain!

Seriously, we have a little Orvis in Ludlow and, up close, those bears are rather cuddly!

I'm trying to get my head round selling cardigans and bears in the same catalogue. Hilda - seriously?

Ariadne Wed 30-Jul-14 10:54:09

Never herd of Orvis, but this was incredibly awful!

Terrafirma1 Wed 30-Jul-14 11:01:47

My dog loves the look of their dog beds - but she doesn't seem to understand prices and how many weeks of dog food she would have to forego to have one!

Ariadne Wed 30-Jul-14 11:05:38

BUT - just had a further look and so, thank you for mentioning them. I like the clothing a lot!

I want this envy

GrannyTwice Wed 30-Jul-14 11:47:05

I would walk backwards whilst wearing it....

HildaW Wed 30-Jul-14 14:29:37

GrannyTwice...Orvis is a bit of a hunting and fishing shop as well as selling some very grand dog beds that you can get monogrammed....so when you look at their whole range, a lifelike brown bear is not that out of place.

Orvis company started to supply clothing for fishermen and other outdoorsy types. Then they extended to cover more things. I've have bought garments for myself and DH from them for years. They are usually well designed and hard-wearing.

Bejesus, if I placed these in the entrance to my home there would be no room for anyone else! grin
