How do you store clothes?

In our bedroom we have a built in wardrobe which is about 12' long, 75% of which is mine but I still have to move the 'other season's' clothes into a wardrobe in a spare room. I wish I didn't buy randomly but bought in a more coordinated fashion as I never seem to have appropriate clothes for anything and have to buy yet something else sad

I leave them on the floor and they magically appear in my wardrobe.

I'm afraid I'm a clothes addict! I have a large trunk, from Uni days and I put the obviously summer/winter clothes in it at the end of each season. I leave the in between season clothes in several fitted wardrobes.
I do try to thin them out when swapping, but I'm a hopeless case and cannot part with old favourites, whilst enjoying new 'finds'. I'm the same with handbags, but not so bad with shoes. X

I've packed for a holiday and there is still no noticeable lack of clothes in my wardrobe! I would love to exist on a "capsule" wardrobe but tend to buy one in ever colour if I find something I like. Same with shoes. I have boxes for out of season stuff and try to have just relevant stuff hanging in the wardrobe. I rather like rediscovering things I haven't seen for a few months.

It always amuses me on tv crime dramas where they glance in the wardrobe and say "Her .....is missing." My husband wouldn't have a clue!

Do you take out all your summer things now and just have autumn and winter things in your wardrobe? I would have a lot more room if I did that. We have so many clothes these days don't we? The time was when a double wardrobe and a dressing table held the lot! That's before we start talking about all those shoes!!
